AI-Ready Android Teams: What to Automate, Augment, and Keep Human
Android teams are under increasing pressure to adopt generative AI across coding, testing, documentation, planning, and release delivery. But automating more work does not automatically produce better software. Poorly chosen use cases can introduce inaccurate outputs, hidden review costs, security concerns, and weaker technical judgment.
In this practical session, Chimbusomma “Buso” Chika presents an AI-readiness framework that helps mobile teams determine what to automate, what to augment with AI, and what should remain human-led. Using examples such as bug triage, test-case drafting, release notes, backlog refinement, incident summaries, documentation, and AI-assisted code review, attendees will evaluate workflows through five lenses: business value, repeatability, data sensitivity, decision risk, and reviewability.
Attendees will learn how to:
classify Android delivery workflows as automate, augment, or human-led;
identify AI use cases that create genuine value rather than additional review work;
establish human-in-the-loop checkpoints and clear decision ownership;
measure cycle time, quality, rework, and developer experience; and
design a focused 30-day AI pilot that can scale responsibly.
This is not a product demonstration or a promise that AI should replace engineers. It is a practical playbook for increasing productivity without outsourcing accountability, architecture judgment, or the human expertise behind reliable mobile products.
